Mike Stevenson, 116th District, Announces Continued Support and a Successful Fundraising Quarter
$5,700 raised during the last quarter shows strong continued support for campaign
Warsaw – Committee to Elect Stevenson, 116th House District, announced today that they raised $5,700 during the fundraising quarter that ended June 30th. In total, Mike has raised $24,788 over the course of his campaign.
Overall, nearly 100 donors made contributions this quarter to help with the Stevenson Campaign.
“My family and friends have, yet again, shown their support for my campaign. This continues to make my campaign stronger and helps us to move forward in what will be a hard fought election,” said Mike Stevenson. “Knowing that I have their support, makes me want to work that much harder over the upcoming months. It is starting to get down to the wire, and I know I will be able to count on my supporters for the remainder of the campaign season.”
Mike has also been hard at work calling voters and knocking on over 2,000 doors throughout the 116th District.
Mike attended college at Trenton Junior College then transferred to Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville, Missouri where he completed his Bachelors degree and Masters Degree in Education. He continued his education at Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg to attain his Educational Specialist degree in the area of School Superintendent. Mike worked for 30 years in the education field and retired in July of 2006. During his tenure as Superintendent, Mike has initiated a number of important programs within the school such as the A+ program, At-Risk programs for students, reading recovery programs, gifted education programs, enhanced educational opportunities through dual credit with college and summer school programs.
