Mike Stevenson Officially Files as a Candidate for State Representative in Jefferson City

Campaign officially begins as Stevenson files

Jefferson City, MO – Mike Stevenson traveled to Jefferson City to officially file as a candidate for State Representative in the 116th House District.

“While this marks the official beginning of the campaign, we have been working hard to talk to citizens across this district about the need for common sense leadership in the State Legislature, said Stevenson.  “As a member of our State’s legislature, I will work with Governor Nixon to create jobs and make fiscally sound investments into education and our community infrastructure.”

Mike Stevenson retired as superintendent of the Warsaw School District in 2006 after spending 30 years as an educator.  Mike has been married to Janice Stevenson, his high school sweet-heart, for the past 36 years and together they have four children and five grand children.  The Stevenson’s two sons served as members of the U.S. military following their high school graduation.  The Stevensons attend the Warsaw Christian Church in Warsaw, MO.

The 116th House District includes the communities of Benton, Morgan, and Pettis counties.
